Confirm requirements with the Columbia County or New York office before visiting a counter or paying a fee.
An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
An arrest does not establish guilt. A prosecutor may decline or reduce charges, a court may dismiss a case, or the matter may end in the accused's favor. Booking data records custody, not the final result. A later correction or New York record-sealing order can also make an older copy misleading. Verify the disposition with the court that heard the case, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office when it created the record, or DCJS for a personal fingerprint record review.
A located record is a starting point, not a verdict. Only its custodian can confirm the current content and whether the record remains public.

No content on this site is an official record. Confirm a court date with the proper clerk, a warrant or local custody status with the responsible law-enforcement office, a personal fingerprint history with DCJS, and a public registry listing with the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Only the office maintaining a document can issue an official or certified copy.
